Stephen Mangongo has been fired as Zimbabwe’s coach just eight weeks before the World Cup. Mangongo’s dismissal comes after the team lost all eight fixtures on their recent Bangladesh tour, which included three Tests and five ODIs.No replacement has been announced but Zimbabwe Cricket will hold interviews next week and unveil a new coach after Christmas. ZC chairman Wilson Manase said that two people were under consideration. “They are experienced people and will do us proud.”The board announced Mangongo’s departure on Thursday afternoon after a meeting. “The ZC board has decided to relieve Stephen Mangongo of his duties as head coach with immediate effect… After our Bangladesh tour we decided to conduct an investigation into what happened and also to look at our structures because we needed to move forward and wanted to ensure that the stakeholders and ourselves are satisfied that what we are doing is enhancing the performance on the field,” Manase said. “Today we held a board meeting to consider the reports coming from the cricket committee and what we have come up with is that we need a bit of restructuring of our technical team.”Mangongo will be redeployed to work with the national Under-19 side because the administration believes he is “good at identifying talent,” according to Manase. “Stephen has been pivotal in developing the game of cricket. He delivered. Against Bangladesh we won the series last year and against Australia we won a match which was good. But what we seek is consistency. Because we are going to the World Cup, we need to be very astute in what we are doing.”Mangongo had formally been in the position for five months and had also stepped in as interim coach earlier. While Mangongo’s tenure included the notable success of Zimbabwe’s first one-day international win over Australia in 31 years, he had faced criticism over his brusque coaching style and handling of players. Mangongo had replaced Andy Waller, who was moved out in July. Waller was given an overseeing role in ZC, looking after cricket at all levels from age-group to the academy, and may come back into contention.Givemore Makoni, Zimbabwe’s convenor of selectors and a man widely thought to be a key ally of Mangongo, retained his post, while it was also announced that the selection panel would be widened to include the national coach, bowling coach Douglas Hondo, former team manager and long-serving administrator Babu Meman and the national captain. The revamped structure will be reviewed after the World Cup, Manase said.

O goleador rubro-negro estavainserido no Artigo 191 do Código Brasileiro de Justiça Desportiva, que fala em descumprimento “de regulamento, geral ou especial, de competição”. Uma pena em multa de R$ 100 a R$ 100 mil era prevista. Mesmo se fosse punido, Gabigol não seria desfalque para o time de Jorge Jesus no Brasileiro por conta da comemoração.

A dupla terá que pagar R$ 1 mil como pena.por arremesso de objetos no campo.

O Flamengo, em relação ao Artigo 206 (que se refere a atrasos), foi absolvido.

كان يويفا قد فرض عقوبة مالية قدرها 500 ألف يورو، على نادي برشلونة، لعدم امتثاله لقواعد اللعب المالي النظيف في 2022 ونشر بيانات غير صحيحة عن أرباح ذك العام.

وتقدم نادي برشلونة باستئناف ضد تلك العقوبة، ولكن الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم رفض ذلك، ليؤكد الغرامة.

وقال يويفا في بيانه الرسمي: “اتخذت غرفة الاستئناف التابعة لمجلس الرقابة المالية لنادي الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم قرارًا في قضية استئناف نادي برشلونة ضد القرار الصادر عن الغرفة الأولى لمجلس الرقابة المالية التابعة للاتحاد، في 13 يوليو 2023”.

وأضاف: “أمام الغرفة الأولى لمجلس الرقابة المالية لنادي الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم، تم تغريم نادي برشلونة مبلغ 500 ألف يورو بسبب إعلانه بشكل غير صحيح، في السنة المالية 2022، عن الأرباح المالية التي لا تشكل دخلًا ذا صلة بالمعنى المقصود في اللوائح”.

واختتم: “قررت لجنة الاستئناف للتو رفض الاستئناف المقدم من برشلونة وتأكيد قرار الغرفة الأولى”.

A 69 in the first innings, a match-flipping 242 not out in the second, and two outstanding catches won Kane Williamson the Man-of-the-Match award, as well as the top spot in ESPN Sportscenter’s Plays. But plenty more words of praise were headed his way. He was not dismissed for fewer than 54 through the series, and having now become the quickest New Zealand batsman to 3,000 Test runs, may become his nation’s best ever with the bat, Brendon McCullum said.”It’s hard to put this on his shoulders while the guy is so young, but I firmly believe Kane could go down as New Zealand’s greatest ever batter,” McCullum said. “He’s a phenomenal talent and such a level-headed guy, who just thinks first and foremost about the team and how he can contribute. He’s ticking off some amazing statistics along the way and he’s doing it in quite a strong leadership position within our group as well.”That speaks volumes for the guy at the age of 24, that he’s held in that regard within the group. His batting in all three forms of the game is world class. He was batting in my backyard the other day against my boy. Dropped catches saw the match slip from Sri Lanka’s hands, Angelo Mathews said, after he watched team-mates miss chances of Kane Williamson on scores of 29, 60, 104 and 233. Williamson’s 365-run sixth-wicket stand with BJ Watling transformed the Test and set Sri Lanka on course for defeat.
“It was a shocking turnaround, I thought,” Mathews said. “We were able to put New Zealand under pressure by the third day, but we dropped a couple of sitters and good players make it count. Williamson did exactly that with Watling. They reversed pressure on us, and we couldn’t hold on.”
“Kane batted brilliantly, but we have to grab those chances. Given the opportunity, we were under no real pressure at the time and we got a couple of sitters that we dropped and we paid the price.”
Despite the 0-2 result, Mathews said there were heartening performances from Sri Lanka’s young batsmen.
“We have a lot of positives: the way Dimuth Karunaratne, Lahiru Thirimanne and Dinesh Chandimal batted. It was very pleasing to see them score some runs. It’s going to be a big ask to fill Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara’s shoes, when he retires, but I think slowly but surely the youngsters will learn”

“Kane’s passionate, but he’s level with his emotions. At times, he can be a little bit mistaken for not being passionate or caring – he just gets in his zone. But you don’t fight that hard unless you care about something.”He does have blood in his veins. He’ll be in that dressing room now, enjoying being around his teammates and have a big smile on his face. He’ll be trying to shove off all the accolades to everyone else, but he’s got to sit with these ones.”The decision to declare 389 runs ahead was made with the intention of tempting Sri Lanka to pursue the target, McCullum said, particularly as the pitch remained good for batting. The ploy worked superbly, with six of Sri Lanka’s top-eight batsmen falling to aggressive strokes. New Zealand had Angelo Mathews caught just before lunch, to set themselves up with a saunter to the finish.”The two big wickets were Kumar Sangakkara and Angelo – both guys capable of winning games on their own,” McCullum said. “To be able to get both of those guys was huge. At the lunch break, we knew we were a big sniff of being able to close out the game. The guys kept hanging tough and that got the job done. It was great to see Mark Craig get four wickets in the last innings of a Test match too, especially on a wicket that wasn’t turning a great deal. It was an excellent effort to manufacture a win from nowhere, really.”McCullum said come-from-behind victories, like the one at the Basin Reserve, did wonders for his team’s self-belief.”In both batting and bowling, I think the confidence is starting to develop. We’re starting to get guys getting big scores under pressure. Even if you are behind the game, you know that if one of those class players can get in, then we’re going to be a big chance of being able to get out of trouble. Then we do have the bowlers who will get 20 wickets against most teams that we’ve come up against lately. Those two factors combine to build some confidence in the group.”Both New Zealand and Sri Lanka had severe issues with balls going out of shape in the Test. Seven balls were changed in all, and McCullum said many of those were seriously misshapen. “The balls were a long way out of shape. There’s times when if it was a little bit out of shape and we’d try to get on with it, but when it becomes far from round, that was the time we threw it to the umpires and let them make the decision. When it’s not round, it makes it difficult to swing the ball.”

An all-round bowling performance by Perth Scorchers was capped by an impressive half-century form Michael Carberry as they trounced Brisbane Heat by eight wickets at the WACA ground. He creamed 77 off only 37 balls to stunt any threat a target of 135 might have.The decision to bat backfired on Heat as they lost a steady drip of wickets inside the first 10 overs. A wicket in the fourth over was followed by another in the fifth and the same trend was observed by the time the ninth over came around.Nathan Reardon walked in at No. 5 and attempted to pick up the pieces with a 40-ball 52. There wasn’t much help from the tail, although if their top order could not handle the meticulous work of Jason Behrendorff and Brad Hogg, who took two wickets each.The chase began with Scorchers losing their openers inside five overs , but since then Carberry took over. His first boundary was a bludgeon that soared over long-off’s head and landed beyond the ropes. Lokesh Rahul also prospered, but missed out on a ton of of his own by nine runs.Uthappa’s knock was punctuated by 21 fours and a six, while Rahul stroked 14 fours. The 194-run opening partnership ended when Abu Nechim bowled Rahul in the 55th over. Uthappa, though, carried on to make 153 off 226 balls before he offered a return catch to Syed Mohammad.
