Darren Pattinson, who will forever be remembered most for his wild card selection for England’s Test against South Africa in 2008, looks to be coming to the end of his first-class career in England by signing to play for Melbourne Renegades as a home-based player in the 2012-13 edition of Australia’s Big Bash League.Pattinson, the 32-year-old Nottinghamshire pace bowler is the 14th contracted player announced by the Renegades and his decision to play in the Twenty20 competition as an Australian domestic player means that were he to return to English cricket next season it would have to be as an overseas player.However, his contract at Trent Bridge expires at the end of the current season and Mick Newell, Nottinghamshire’s director of cricket, says that it was unlikely Pattinson would return next year in any event. So far this season, he has not appeared in four-day cricket, although he missed the first half of the season after suffering a stress fracture of the back.”Darren’s decision changes his status as far as I am aware but with his age and the age of his kids I think it was unlikely he would be looking to stay beyond this season,” Newell said. “This season, taking his fitness into account, we were looking at him mainly for the one-day competitions, although he will remain an important member of the squad for all forms of the game for the remainder of the season.”He has made a big contribution for us in his time here and has been a great servant to the county.”Pattinson made headlines when his early-season form for Nottinghamshire led to his surprise selection for the second Test against South Africa at Headingley in 2008. He took 2 for 95 from 30 overs in the first innings but England lost by 10 wickets and he was not picked again.The 2008 season was his most productive of his five in English cricket, bringing him 49 first-class wickets. He took 33 two years later as Nottinghamshire won the County Championship. In total he has taken 110 first-class wickets for the county at 34.00 and has proved an effective weapon in T20, taking 64 wickets at 20.09, including six in this season’s competition, helping Nottinghamshire earn a home quarter-final against Hampshire on July 25..Pattinson is likely to come up against his younger brother and current Australian Test player James in the Big Bash, who is signed up for Melbourne Stars. “We’ve played together a few times, but that would be the first time playing against my brother,” Pattinson said.Day three of Nottinghamshire’s match against Surrey had the same soggy end as day two, abandoned without a ball bowled because of muddy patches around wicket ends and areas close to the edge of the square.Newell said he expected both captains to be amenable to setting up a game on the final day, with Nottinghamshire 178 for 5 when play was called off on the opening day.

– Com certeza, o Felipão vai usar tudo que puder, ele trabalha muito a parte motivacional. Tudo que ele fez (em 2000) foi colocar um time bem ofensivo para atacarmos todo tempo. Nunca desistir. O time precisará estar totalmente concentrado em tudo que tem de fazer, e não deixar nada desviar esse foco, principalmente a arbitragem – recomendou Euller.
– São três coisas fundamentais: determinação para fazer os gols, concentração para saber a hora de dar o passe, chutar e fazer a coisa certa e atenção durante os 90 minutos e os acréscimos para não tomar gol, como aconteceu na Argentina. A atenção é o principal porque, se tomar gol, a determinação continua, mas a concentração vai embora – indicou Assunção.
– O Felipão gosta de conversar muito, de passar vídeos de jogos, reunir o grupo em semanas decisivas e passar para os jogadores o seu conhecimento e sua experiência. Pode ter certeza: ele sabe muito. Já deve estar conversando muito com os jogadores sobre o jogo, falando muito com os mais experientes, principalmente, para a tranquilidade reinar. Mas também falando que é importante buscar o gol, não ficar só tocando a bola esperando o gol chegar – prosseguiu o ex-meio-campista.
Tanto nas oitavas de final da Libertadores de 2000 quanto na primeira fase da Copa Sul-Americana de 2010, há semelhanças: golaço de falta (Neném em 2000 e Marcos Assunção em 2010) e atacante balançando as redes duas vezes (Marcelo Ramos há 18 anos, Tadeu há oito). Na avaliação de quem participou das viradas, um dos focos deve ser evitar o 0 a 0 no primeiro tempo.
– Se vai para o intervalo com 0 a 0, é muito difícil. Por mais que tenha 45 minutos no segundo tempo, é muito pouco tempo para fazer três gols em um tempo só. Se fizer gol no primeiro tempo, com certeza será mais fácil, o time terá muito mais tranquilidade em busca do segundo e, em seguida, do terceiro gol. Mas precisa tomar cuidado para não tomar gol. Se tomar, esquece, fica muito difícil. Precisa estar muito concentrado e atento – falou Assunção, apostando alto na torcida.
– Tenho um filho palmeirense doente e costumamos ver jogos no Allianz Parque, atrás do banco de reservas. Quando olho os jogadores, o campo, o estádio e a torcida, tenho uma vontade imensa de jogar. Fico arrepiado. Pode ter certeza de que isso ajuda, e muito. Principalmente a empurrar o time para cima do adversário, que olha e vê que a torcida não para. Torcida não joga, mas ajuda muito.

Em 2000, o Palmeiras foi vice-campeão da Libertadores, e a campanha que terminou com derrota nos pênaltis para o Boca Juniors teve virada épica nas oitavas de final. Então campeão, o Verdão de Felipão perdeu para o Peñarol por 2 a 0 na ida, em jogo no Uruguai no qual Galeano foi expulso. Na volta, Felipão estava suspenso e acompanhou o jogo das tribunas do Palestra Itália. E viu sua estratégia ser forçadamente mudada com uma lesão de Basílio.
– Treinamos durante a semana para jogar com dois jogadores de velocidade, pelos lados, comigo de um lado e o Basílio do outro. Uma equipe bem ofensiva para entrar pelos lados na defesa adversária, não com bolas aéreas, por não ter um ataque alto, mas rápido comigo, Pena e Basílio. De fato, começou bem assim, mas depois machucou o Basílio, entrou o Marcelo Ramos e a equipe mudou a característica, porque o Marcelo jogou como um meia ofensivo, o Pena lá na frente e eu aberto, com liberdade pelos dois lados. O Marcelo Ramos fez dois gols, entrou inspirado – lembrou Euller.
O jogo ainda teve como drama por lesão a saída do zagueiro Agnaldo, obrigando Felipão a improvisar o volante Ferrugem no setor. Ainda assim, o Verdão pressionou. O lateral-direito Neném abriu o placar em linda cobrança de falta aos 26 minutos do primeiro tempo. Depois, Marcelo Ramos balançou as redes aos 46 do primeiro tempo e aos dez do segundo. Pacheco descontou para o Peñarol aos 15 da etapa final e, depois, o time uruguaio teve um gol mal anulado. No tempo normal, Euller ainda errou pênalti que ele mesmo sofreu.
O atacante ainda falhou na decisão, mas foi o único palmeirense que errou. Marcelo Ramos, Alex e Rogério converteram. Do outro lado, Pacheco acertou a trave e Marcos pegou as cobranças de Aguirregaray e Cedrés – somente Bengoechea e Bueno balançaram as redes pelo eliminado Peñarol.
– O Marcelo Ramos fez dois gols. Errei dois pênaltis, no tempo normal e nas cobranças, mas o Marcos estava em uma noite muito feliz, nos garantiu, me deu alívio por ter perdido os pênaltis. Foi uma noite inspirada do Marcos, do Marcelo Ramos. Foi um jogo em que o que foi planejado teve de mudar logo no início, mas foi uma mudança que realmente aconteceu para dar certo – comemorou Euller.

Poupando titulares, o Palmeiras perdeu o jogo de ida no Barradão por 2 a 0, sofrendo dois gols no segundo tempo: Ramón, aos dois, e Neto Coruja, aos 42 minutos. – Fizemos um bom jogo, estávamos muito inspirados, com muita vontade de passar para a próxima fase. Foi um jogo muito difícil, mas todos os jogadores entraram com uma determinação muito grande, de que poderia passar, com condição de passar e com três gols. Nos pênaltis, é muito difícil você estar totalmente focado, porque tem um desgaste mental muito grande durante o jogo. É muito sofrimento para jogador e torcedor. Queríamos ganhar sem os pênaltis e fomos para cima o tempo todo, focado – lembrou Assunção, que tinha prometido para o elenco, “no susto”, que faria o gol de falta.
– Em reunião no vestiário, o Felipão falou ‘vocês estão de brincadeira que temos um dos melhores batedores de falta do Brasil, senão o melhor, e não tem uma falta para bater?’. Eu estava quieto, ele me perguntou quantas eu precisava bater para fazer gol e, no susto, falei que precisava de duas. Quando acabou a reunião, pensei ‘que m… que falei, se não fizer estou morto’ – sorriu.
– No primeiro tempo, uma cobrança passou perto. Na outra, estava muito longe. Lembro como se fosse agora. Daquela distância, daquela posição, eu teria que colocar força e precisão. E a bola foi justo com a força e onde nenhum goleiro pegaria. Se vai mais para dentro, o goleiro chega. É para ver o nível de concentração para, aos 43 minutos do segundo tempo, sobrar força para colocar a bola ali – comemorou o ex-volante.

One more wicket for UP, and it could be the deluge they are waiting for.By tea, Delhi had lost Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli, both out in their forties, their team at 120-3. With Virender Sehwag not on the field for two sessions, Unmukt Chand had opened the innings with Gambhir but was caught behind off Bhuvneshwar Kumar off the first ball he faced.Sehwag had injured the index finger of his right hand yesterday afternoon going for a catch at first slip. A medical check up at the hospital directly across the road had indicated neither fracture nor the requirement of stitches. There had been confidence in the Delhi camp that Sehwag will come out to bat ‘if required’ and at the tea break, Sehwag had been seen knocking outside the pavilion. He turned up 15 minutes into the final session with the dismissal of Punit Bisht and having batted for an hour, was not out on 21 with three boundaries.Delhi’s problems in the match though extend far beyond Sehwag’s injured finger. وتقرر سفر عبد الحفيظ وعدلي إلى المغرب قبل البعثة لإنهاء كافة الأمور الخاصة باستقبال الفريق وما يتعلق بالإقامة وملاعب التدريب وغيرها من الترتيبات، لتوفير الأجواء المناسبة للجميع خلال الرحلة.

O Allianz Parque teve instalada na última semana uma estação meteorológica automática, no topo do prédio de mídia, que está voltado para a rua Palestra Itália. O projeto, similar a tecnologia utilizada pela Fórmula 1, fornecerá informações em tempo real sobre pressão atmosférica, temperatura, umidade relativa do ar, precipitação e velocidade do vento.
Eduardo Rigotto, gerente geral do Allianz Parque, considera que essas informações serão fundamentais para a manutenção do campo.
– Um dos principais benefícios da tecnologia é a criação de um histórico meteorológico específico da região da arena. Ou seja, os dados nos mostrarão o volume de chuva em determinada época do ano, os horários com mais umidade, entre outros dados que nos auxiliarão em diversas questões, como, por exemplo, a irrigação do campo – explicou.
A estação também terá influência para shows e grandes eventos corporativos. Com os dados, a equipe que cuida da arena espera até fornecer com antecedência informações climáticas para o público, alertando inclusive sobre possíveis impactos no trânsito ou até mesmo programando intervalos nos shows, caso seja identificada uma tempestade.
A ideia é que os dados meteorológicos estejam disponíveis nos canais de comunicação da arena a partir do segundo semestre de 2019. Todo o maquinário já está instalado, mas os técnicos trabalham no momento na programação do sistema, que já começa a coletar os primeiros dados, iniciando a criação do histórico meteorológico da área.
