O Corinthians ocupa a 8ª colocação no Campeonato Brasileiro, há tempos não joga bem, trocou o comando essa semana e neste domingo às 16h encara o rival Palmeiras no Allianz Parque. O cenário parece dramático para o recém-chegado Jair Ventura, que fará sua estreia, mas a história recente mostra que esse clássico também pode injetar uma grande dose de ânimo na equipe.

Do ano passado para cá, três Dérbis foram emblemáticos como divisores de água e todos a favor do Corinthians. Do técnico Fábio Carille, inspiração para Jair Ventura. O ex-comandante do Timão, hoje no Al Wehda, da Arábia Saudita, fez história no clube com vitórias marcantes sobre o Palmeiras.

A primeira foi fundamental para que Carille tivesse tranquilidade e vida longa em seu início de carreira. Em seu primeiro Dérbi, pela primeira fase do Campeonato Paulista do ano passado, o time não tinha engrenado e teve Gabriel expulso ainda no primeiro tempo. Acabou vencendo por 1 a 0, placar que impulsionou o Corinthians para a arrancada que garantiu o título estadual.

Depois da estreia, Carille disputou mais seis clássicos contra o Palmeiras e venceu cinco, perdendo apenas um. Também arrancou para o título Brasileiro de 2017 vencendo o rival por 3 a 2 na Arena e, neste ano, o mais histórico: título paulista na casa do rival após decisão por pênaltis. Quer mais, Jair?

– Jogo grande. O treinador acaba trabalhando muito pouco emocionalmente, porque já é um jogo grande. Sabemos da responsabilidade do jogo, mas é a vida do treinador. Chegar e disputar um grande clássico contra um grande treinador. Vamos fazer um grande jogo. Não podemos fugir da responsabilidade. Seria fácil eu chegar e me ausentar para deixar a maré passar. Mas gosto de desafios, e vamos encarar como um desafio esse clássico – disse o treinador, em sua entrevista de apresentação.

A importância do clássico citada por Jair passa diretamente pela diretoria do Corinthians. O presidente Andrés Sanchez, em seu segundo mandato, sabe bem o que uma vitória nesse confronto representa. Em sua primeira passagem, a rivalidade mais acirrada foi com o São Paulo, do ex-presidente Juvenal Juvêncio. Andrés se saiu melhor. O rival ganhou o título de freguês. Agora, a disputa maior é com o Palmeiras.

Nos bastidores, Andrés e Alexandre Mattos, diretor de futebol do rival, trocam alfinetadas. Uma disputa acirrada após o Paulista, quando o Palmeiras alegou interferência externa da arbitragem e tenta impugnar a final até hoje, sem sucesso. O presidente do Corinthians tira sarro da situação.

A rivalidade, no entanto, não impede momentos de confraternização. Andrés foi convidado para a festa de aniversário de 104 anos do Palmeiras, compareceu, mas foi embora após ser intimidado por dois torcedores no banheiro. Os palmeirenses foram expulsos da festa. Imagina o quanto Andrés não quer ganhar de novo na casa do rival…

Jair sabe muito bem disso. Foi contratado com a responsabilidade de fazer a equipe reagir e tem em mente a importância de começar vencendo o Dérbi. Faria toda a diferença. A sequência complicada, que também tem a semifinal da Copa do Brasil contra o Flamengo, foi um dos motivos da troca de comando. Pior para Osmar Loss, que caiu na quarta-feira após derrota para o Ceará. Deixou o cargo sem encarar o Palmeiras.

Enquanto isso, Jair sabe como é enfrentar o rival. Pelo Santos, disputou a semifinal do Paulista deste ano e levou a pior. Mas vendeu caro. Venceu o segundo jogo no Pacaembu por 2 a 1 e levou a decisão para os pênaltis, sendo eliminado. O desempenho em clássicos, porém, não é dos melhores. Em oito jogos, foram duas vitórias, três empates e três derrotas.

No Rio de Janeiro, pelo Botafogo, não foi muito diferente. Em 16 jogos contra Flamengo, Vasco ou Fluminense, foram cinco vitórias, quatro empates e sete derrotas. Clássico muda os rumos. E Jair quer seguir a sina recente do Corinthians para começar com o pé direito.

تلقى البرازيلي كاسيميرو لاعب مانشستر يونايتد بطاقة حمراء مباشرة في مباراة فريقه أمام ساوثهامبتون بالدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، بالجولة السابعة والعشرين.

وأوضحت صحيفة “مترو” البريطانية، أنه سيتم إيقاف كاسيميرو لثلاث مباريات وسيغيب عن مباراة أخرى نظرًا لأنها ثاني بطاقة حمراء مباشرة يحصل عليها بعد طرده سابقًا أمام كريستال بالاس في الموسم الجاري.

أي أن عقوبة إيقاف كاسيميرو البالغ من العمر 31 عامًا، ستكون 4 مباريات.

بالتالي سيغيب كاسيميرو عن مباراة مانشستر يونايتد في كأس الاتحاد الإنجليزي على أرضه أمام فولهام في 19 مارس الجاري.

O prefeito pediu que as criticas sejam feitas no final do ano, no período eleitoral do clube, quando possivelmente haverá uma chapa de oposição, o que não ocorreu nos últimos anos.

Presente na reunião, o presidente da Chape agradeceu o apoio do prefeito e afirmou que os atletas estão abatidos com as críticas.

– Os atletas estão psicologicamente abatidos há algum tempo devido a críticas que vem de fora para dentro e de dentro para fora. Eles estão se auto punindo. Por isso vamos contratar um coaching para falar com eles – disse o presidente.

Ele afirmou ainda que não há intenção de trocar o comando do time, pelo menos neste momento.

– Não é hora de mexer. Se mexer agora vai piorar, concluiu.

ويواجه منتخب مصر نظيره زامبيا في تمام السادسة مساء غد الأربعاء باستاد الدفاع الجوى في ذهاب الجولة الثالثة المؤهلة إلى كأس الأمم  الإفريقية تحت 23 سنة وهي البطولة المؤهلة لدورة الألعاب الأولمبية باريس 2024.

وأسفر الاجتماع الفني لمباراة الذهاب بين منتخب مصر الأولمبي ونظيره الزامبي، عن ارتداء المنتخب المصري الزي التقليدي والمكون من القميص الأحمر والشورت الأبيض والجوارب السوداء، ويرتدي حارس مرمى منتخب مصر اللون الأصفر، بينما يرتدي المنتخب الزامبي الزي الأخضر الكامل ويرتدي الحارس الزي الأزرق.

Darren Sammy did his best to conceal a big and wide smile but was not shy to admit how happy he would be to see Chris Gayle re-enter the West Indies dressing room soon. Gayle was part of the 15-man squad announced on Sunday by the Caribbean selectors for the three-match ODI series and the solitary Twenty20 to be played in England from June 16.Gayle’s inclusion brought to an end the bitter dispute between him and the WICB, which started immediately after last year’s World Cup and kept him out of international cricket for 15 months. But both parties cleared the “residual” issues during a meeting in St Vincent, which was attended by Gayle, Julian Hunte (WICB president) along with West Indies Players’ Association chief executive Michael Hall. Also present were Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St Vincent, and Baldwin Spencer, the Antigua & Barbuda Premier, both facilitators instrumental in resolving the issue.”I think we have a very exciting one-day team with the inclusion of Chris Gayle,” Sammy said. “Our previous ODI and Twenty20 series against Australia was very good for us; we drew both series. So with guys like Chris and Dwayne Smith adding more power, I am very excited, but I have to focus on this Test. After this is over, we will focus on the ODI series.” It is understood that Gayle along with the other players picked for the one-dayers, would join the West Indies squad in Birmingham on June 9.In his first press conference on this tour, at Hove, Sammy mentioned that if and when Gayle comes back, he would need to get used to the “hardworking culture” put in place by Ottis Gibson, the West Indies coach. Teenage batsman Anamul Haque and allrounder Farhad Reza are the omissions from the squad that failed to make the final of the Twenty20 tri-series in Zimbabwe. Shakib had been rested for the tri-series.Akram Khan, Bangladesh’s chief selector, said Anamul had been left out so he could focus on the upcoming Under-19 World Cup in Australia this August. “He [Anamul Haque] has a lot of time and I think if he plays in the age-level World Cup, it will bring more maturity to his game,” Akram said.
