أصدرت وزارة الشباب والرياضة بيانًا رسميًا لتوضيح موقفها من التدخل في شئون الاتحاد الرياضية، وعلى رأسها اتحاد الكرة المصري.

وكانت قد انتشرت أنباء في الساعات الماضية عن تدخل الوزارة في قرارات اتحاد الكرة بشأن تطوير منظومة الحكام ورحيل عصام عبد الفتاح رئيس لجنة الحكام.

وكان اتحاد الكرة قد عقد مؤتمرًا صحفيًا منذ أيام لتقدم مارك كلاتنبرج لوسائل الإعلام، بعد تسلمه مهمة تطوير الحكام خلال الفترة المقبلة بيان وزارة الشباب والرياضة

أكد وزارة الشباب والرياضة أنها لا تتدخل مطلقا في الشئون الفنية أو قرارات مجالس إدارات الاتحادات الرياضية ومنها الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم.

ويأتي ذلك في ضوء ما تداولته بعض المواقع الإلكترونية عن وجود تدخل في شئون الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم يتعلق باختيار أو الإبقاء أو تغيير بلجنة الحكام التابعة للاتحاد.

وتؤكد الوزارة ان هذا الأمر من صميم عمل مجلس إدارة الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم ولا علاقة للوزارة بأية قرارات تصدر من مجلس إدارة الاتحاد تتعلق بلجانه المختلفة او شئونه الفنية أو المسابقات.

وشددت الوزارة أنها تقف على مسافة واحدة من جميع الهيئات الرياضية في إطار دورها المتعلق بالرقابة والمحاسبة ولا تتدخل مطلقا في شئونها أو لجانها الفنية.

An ICC task force appointed to assess the current situation of cricket in Zimbabwe has arrived in the country on a three-day fact-finding mission.The team, led by president of the West Indies Cricket Board Dr Julian Hunte, will seek to establish the current state of cricket in Zimbabwe as it relates to the management and development of the game and also to conduct an assessment of the policies and programmes executed with the view to restoring the senior team to Test cricket.Hunte and Haroon Lorgat, the ICC chief executive, will carry out a detailed inspection of the cricket administration, facilities, resources and capabilities in the country. Hunte will then make recommendations to the full ICC Board when it next meets in January. An ICC statement said that “these recommendations will include constructive strategies and initiatives to assist Zimbabwe to improve its cricket in all respects and to aid its return to Test cricket as soon as possible”.The last ICC inspection was in 2006 soon after Percy Sonn took over as ICC president. Critics of Zimbabwe Cricket complained at the time that the trip was stage-managed by the board and the inspection team only saw what ZC wanted them to see. Subsequent Cricinfo inspections of a number of grounds revealed a crumbling infrastructure.The visit comes against the backdrop of freshly-escalating violence inside Zimbabwe as power-sharing talks between Zanu-PF and the Movement for Democratic Change break down, unemployment running at 80%, inflation at 231 million % and the United Nations predicting millions could be starving within months.Besides Hunte and Lorgat, the ICC task force includes Arjuna Ranatunga, the former Sri Lankan captain and presently chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket.

Questionado sobre uma possível demissão de Mano Menezes em caso de tropeço para o Dragão, o dirigente foi contundente:

– Não tem como a gente falar (sobre o que fazer em um eventual tropeço do Cruzeiro contra o Atlético-GO). Não tem que pensar em derrota. E treinador não veio para fazer três jogos. O Mano Menezes é um técnico conceituado, um dos melhores do Brasil. Vamos fazer valer tudo isso de forma efetiva em resultados – concluiu.

The Owls boss has revealed that both players will return to training on Monday following their respective injury layoffs ahead of the club’s trip to Plymouth next weekend in League One.

He told Yorkshire Live: “Chey and Sam will be back in full training on Monday. We expect the whole group to be available and training as one on Monday.”

Sheffield Wednesday fans will be buzzing with this update from Moore as it means that neither player is set to miss any more matches due to injury. There are no long-term issues which need attending to and they could now be in contention to face Plymouth, which will be a boost ahead of the game as the head coach now has two more options at his disposal.

Both players will also be welcome returns due to their quality on the pitch. Dunkley is currently second in the squad based on WhoScored ratings, with an average score of 7.34 across his two appearances in League One. The experienced centre-back won 13 aerial battles and four tackles and made 10 clearances, two interceptions and two blocks in his matches against Rotherham and Fleetwood.

Hutchinson is not far behind him in fifth with a score of 7.04 in three League One outings. In those matches, he won 10 aerial battles whilst also making six interceptions, nine clearances and three blocks against Fleetwood, Doncaster and Charlton. The Owls did not concede a single goal in those games, highlighting how impressive his defending has been.

These statistics emphasise how important Hutchinson and Dunkley can be for Wednesday this season, as they have both shown that they can put in excellent performances at this level. Therefore, supporters will surely be over the moon that they could both be fit and firing ahead of the clash with Plymouth as it means that two of the club’s best-performing players are available for selection.

In theory, this should boost Wednesday’s chances of winning the match as they have both shown that they can be strong defenders in League One and keep the opposition at bay. Their work then allows the forwards to do their business in the final third without worrying about any mistakes costing goals at the back.

Many Glasgow Rangers fans have been left buzzing as a post emerged showing Borna Barisic’s fantastic form for Croatia.

The left-back managed to bag himself the match’s highest rating (7.8) on Sofascore after an impressive international display for Croatia in their 3-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying home win over Slovenia on Tuesday night.

Barisic won no fewer than six of his duels in the game, and also managed to record one successful dribble, two clearances, four tackles, one key pass, one accurate cross and three accurate long balls, as well as achieving a 96% pass accuracy in the match (Sofascore).

It was certainly a performance he should be proud of, and the 28-year-old will now hope that he can carry his international form on at club level.

The West Indies Cricket Board has applied to the ICC for a US$3 million loan to keep it afloat, according to reports in the Hindustan Times

Cricinfo staff26-Nov-2008The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has asked the ICC for the US$3 million it would have received for the latest Champions Trophy, but the board has denied that it is a loan. The tournament would have been held in September in Pakistan, but was postponed owing to security fears.”We are not in the process of loaning the WICB any money; instead it has asked for the money it was due for the latest ICC Champions Trophy to be advanced to it,” an ICC spokesman told Cricinfo. “Requests like this are not unusual and it should also be remembered that as the money earned by the ICC goes back to its members, the cash in question belongs to the West Indies in any case.”Despite the WICB denying the advance was a loan, it nevertheless is a worrying sign for a board who only last year hosted the World Cup: cricket’s biggest cash cow. That tournament almost wiped out accumulated debts of more than US$20 million and was expected to put the board back on an even footing. But since then it has been involved in an acrimonious row with Digicel, its main sponsor, which ended in court. Costs were awarded against the board and a Digicel insider suggested to Cricinfo that these exceeded US$1 million.”The WICB is not the only member country of the ICC indicating that its cash flow would be affected by not receiving the expected monies as anticipated,” the board insisted. “Thus, any report that the WICB has made a loan application to the ICC because of financial difficulties is grossly inaccurate.”The WICB has also failed to find a sponsor for its domestic one-day tournament after KFC opted not to renew its deal, and this has cost it more than US$500,000.The ICC is almost certain to agree to the request, but it will wipe out more than half the expected income of around US$5.5 million from next year’s ICC World Twenty20 and ICC Champions Trophy. Interest will be paid at a commercial rate on the advance.

شارك الدولي السنغالي، ساديو ماني، الوافد الجديد لنادي بايرن ميونخ، في تدريبات النادي البافاري لأول مرة مُنذ الانتقال إلى بطل ألمانيا، بعد انتقاله إلى ليفربول.

وانضم ماني إلى بايرن ميونخ قادمًا من ليفربول مقابل 45 مليون يورو، ووقع على عقد ثلاث سنوات حتى 30 يونيو 2025.

Apenas Montillo tem o discernimento para avaliar se foi a melhor decisão a ser tomada. Um aspecto, porém, é inegável e merece ser exaltado: pouquíssimas pessoas na mesma situação, com um bom contrato em clube grande, tomariam atitude semelhante. Não faltam exemplos de jogadores conhecidos mais pelo tempo que passaram em departamentos médicos do que pelo o que fizeram em campo, e sem qualquer peso na consciência. Montillo fez o contrário. Para não onerar mais o clube que tanto apostava em seu talento, optou por deixar o futebol com alguma dignidade.
