Joyce mistimed a sweep and top edged Briggs to square leg where Friedel de Wet clutched the opportunity.Wells signalled his intentions on arrival with a straight six off Briggs and itbecame clear the match was petering out when Sussex went in at lunch with a leadof 66 at 108 for 1. Briggs, who got through another marathon spell of 30 overs spread across the innings, struck again at 124 when Nash, who had hit six fours in his 56, choppedthe ball onto his stumps.Nash and Wells had put on 92 for the second wicket to make sure there were noalarms and the afternoon session brought little respite for the Hampshirebowlers. Murray Goodwin, the Sussex captain, was the third to go at 157, curiouslyoffering no shot to a delivery from Briggs and being bowled via the top of his pad.Five balls later De Wet struck for the first time when he had Ben Brown caughtat the wicket with the score 158 but there was still no real hope forHampshire. Quem iniciou o jogo contra o Inter fez um trabalho regenerativo no Ninho. Os reservas trabalharam no campo e alguns garotos do sub-20 completaram o treino. O foco do trabalho foi na rápida troca de passes em espaço reduzido.

O elenco do Flamengo volta a treinar na terça, às 15h30, no Ninho do Urubu.

وقال ميدو في تصريحات تلفزيونية بفضائية  “المحور” عبر برنامجه “الريمونتادا”: “جيسفالدو فيريرا مدرب الزمالك يحتاج للتعاقد مع مدافع”.

وأضاف: “فيريرا أبلغ الزمالك أنه حال التعاقد مع مدافع يكون أحمد ياسين لاعب البنك الأهلي”.

وتابع: “هناك خطين مفتوحين هو التعاقد مع أحمد ياسين أو عودة محمود شبانة إلى الزمالك”.

وتطرق ميدو للحديث عن عقوبة محمد مجدي أفشة لاعب الأهلي قائلًا: “العقوبة ليس بسبب إضاعة ضربة جزاء ولكن بسبب مخالفة التعليمات الفنية، ما أحزن مارسيل كولر أن اللاعب خرج عن النظام في ترتيب ضربات الجزاء”.

واستكمل: “نصحيتي لـ أفشة انسى موضوع تجديد العقد والأموال، يتبقي في عقدك سنتين، ادائك متراجع منذ عام ولا يؤهلك للمشاركة بشكل أساسي مع الأهلي أو الانضمام لمنتخب مصر”.

واستطرد: “أجبر الناس على أن تجدد لك عقدك وتكون فئة أولى بادائك في الملعب وليس بالبحث عن عروض الاحتراف، الأمور في الكرة لا تسير بهذا الشكل ولا تضغط على الأهلي من أجل تجديد عقدك”.

Enquanto divide atenções com o Campeonato Estadual da segunda divisão, do qual é líder, o Operário-PR recebe o descansado Volta Redonda no Germano Kruger.

Eliminado no Campeonato Carioca e com tempo livre para trabalhar física, técnica e taticamente, o Volta Redonda conta com o atacante Jhulliam para buscar os primeiros pontos fora de casa na competição. Focado na preparação, o centroavante de 30 anos avalia o tempo de trabalho e revela suas expectativas para a Série C.

– Acredito que esse tempo que tivemos livre para treinamento vai influenciar positivamente, sim. Chegaram algumas peças importantes para o professor Marcelo, estamos fazendo uma espécie de intertemporada e os resultados estão sendo positivos. Estamos otimistas para fazer uma grande competição. A principal meta do clube sem dúvidas é o acesso à Série B, enquanto sonho em ser artilheiro do campeonato e, principalmente, conseguir ajudar o clube com seus objetivos, seja com gols, passes, abrindo espaços para os companheiros ou com muita luta – disse o jogador.

Já o goleiro Simão entrou em campo com o Operário na última quarta-feira, na vitória sobre o PSTC fora de casa, e agora vira suas atenções para a competição nacional. Se Jhulliam sonha em ser artilheiro, o primeiro passo será superar a boa fase do camisa 1 do Operário. O goleiro da equipe paranaense, campeão da Série D no ano passado, se mostra confiante para a primeira vez que o clube disputará a Série C.

– O clube vem crescendo demais, se estruturando e tem uma torcida enorme e apaixonada. Acho que primeiro temos que fazer o maior número de pontos possíveis para livrar o rebaixamento, depois vamos em busca de classificar e buscar o acesso. Mas vamos precisar ser muito regulares e ganhar jogos em casa será fundamental – explicou o arqueiro.

Para Simão, o fato de o Volta Redonda estar em uma espécie de intertemporada não será preponderante para a estreia no Brasileirão. Dividir as atenções com o Estadual será necessário mesmo com o alto grau de dificuldde e exigência do campeonato nacional.

– Não seria uma desvantagem, é uma competição totalmente diferente, tem o lado bom de estar jogando, adquirindo ritmo de jogo, mas sabemos que a Série C é um nível muito mais alto que vai exigir muita atenção e concentração a cada jogo. Por isso vamos ter que dividir as atenções até definir logo o estadual – completou.

O América-MG iniciou o Campeonato Brasileiro com o pé direito. No domingo, a equipe venceu o Sport por 3 a 0 no Independência e animou a torcida. Sem descanso, a delegação se reapresentou nesta segunda-feira, mas apenas os reservas estiveram em campo na atividade realizada no CT Lanna Drumond.

O volante David segue se recuperando de uma contusão grau dois no músculo adutor da coxa esquerda, assim como Giovanni, que foi diagnosticado com uma lesão grau um no reto femoral da coxa direita e pode demorar pelo menos três semanas para retornar aos treinos normalmente. O meia-atacante Matheusinho, com uma lesão no joelho, tem previsão de retorno para junho.

A equipe volta aos treinos nesta terça-feira, às 15h30, no CT Lanna Drumond para o duelo contra o Flamengo, válido pela segunda rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro. No Maracanã, as equipes se enfrentam às 19h do próximo sábado.

The WACA is a great venue for Johnson, who has 21 wickets in three Tests, including a career-best match haul of 11 for 159. Australia need that version of Johnson in this fixture, not the ineffective model that appeared at the Gabba.
The new dad James Anderson has been to Lancashire and back over the past week to be at the birth of his second child. Over the next five days he will have to battle jet-lag and an Australia batting line-up that is determined not to be overwhelmed by England’s remodelled attack. Anderson’s control and swing will be vital, especially when he’s running into the breeze of the Fremantle Doctor. He was dropped for the Perth Test on the previous tour, but is such a better bowler than he was four years ago..Team newsAustralia’s big question surrounds whether to play Peter Siddle, the bowler who started the series with six wickets on the opening day in Brisbane. Gautam Gambhir has said he is looking forward to the “great challenge” of leading India in the one-day series against New Zealand which starts on Sunday in Guwahati. It’s been a hectic season for the home side, and with the much-anticipated tour of South Africa coming up next month, India have rested many of their heavyweights – including regular captain MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh – for the first two ODIs against New Zealand.”It’s a dream, I’m really excited,” Gambhir said a day ahead of his first match as India captain. “Hopefully I can live up to the expectation. It’s a responsibility that has been given to the team [to deliver without the seniors].”The World Cup is less than three months away, but Gambhir insisted his side was not looking too far ahead. “The most important thing right now is to win the series rather than thinking about giving an opportunity to all the [fringe] players,” Gambhir said. “It’s an international series and you are playing for your country.”Guwahati has traditionally been a low-scoring venue, though Gambhir was expecting more runs this time. “270-280 seems a good total because it starts spinning in the second half,” he said. “It depends on how the wicket is. I don’t think the toss will play a big role.”Gambhir also defended a couple of his middle-order batsmen, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina, who have struggled in recent times. He has done brilliantly in one-dayers,” Gambhir said. “If you look at his last performance in ODIs, he won the match against Australia.”One of the newcomers in the squad certain to make his debut on Sunday is 26-Bengal wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, who smashed an unbeaten 178 in the previous round of the Ranji Trophy. “Saha has done well in domestic cricket playing for Bengal. It’s a good opportunity for him to show his talent,” Gambhir said. “We all feel that he is a very good wicketkeeper, it’s just about scoring some runs. It’s all about carrying his momentum into international cricket. He is among the runs, so he will be feeling confident.”
