وأقيمت مراسم سحب قرعة دور الـ32 من المسابقة القارية، اليوم الثلاثاء، في مقر الاتحاد الإفريقي بالقاهرة.

وتخطى بيراميدز نظيره هلال الساحل السوداني، في الدور الـ32 الأول، بعد فوزه بنتيجة 9-صفر بمجموع لقائي الذهاب والإياب.

Middlesex have signed Pedro Collins, the former West Indies left-arm seamer, for the 2010 season. Collins will link up with the Middlesex squad in mid April, and joins a pace attack which already contains Iain O’Brien, the former New Zealand paceman, as well as Steven Finn and Middlesex’s player of the year for the last three seasons, Tim Murtagh.”I am delighted to be returning to England to play county cricket this summer,” said Collins. “Playing at Lord’s with West Indies was always a special experience and the thought of playing there for Middlesex with the home support on my side is very exciting. Rangers were left frustrated as they returned to Premiership action but failed to pick up all three points on Tuesday night as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men returned from the break in an uninspiring fashion.

The Colombian striker let a lot to be desired as he put in a disappointing performance, struggling with his all-round game and in the final third.

As per SofaScore, he lost a whopping 11 individual duels, out of 18 in total, and only had 47 touches of the ball in his 89 minutes on the pitch. This shows that he was far too weak against the Aberdeen centre-back and allowed himself to be taken out of the game too easily.

He also failed with five of his six attempted dribbles and did not manage a single key pass, as per SofaScore. In the first-half, he ignored Scott Wright in an excellent position in the first half as he swiveled and scuffed a shot at the goalkeeper.

Ex-Gers forward Jermain Defoe recently said of the attacker: “Alfredo is someone who loves scoring goals.

“If we win 8-0 and he hasn’t scored, he’s not happy. I was the same when I was younger.”

Morelos failed to score and cost the Gers the win for his error as he gave away the penalty, so “not happy” may be an understatement in this particular situation. Although, it is seemingly the bare minimum emotion that the striker will now be dealing with, according to a man who worked with him for some time.

Therefore, the dud let himself and van Bronckhorst down and all parties will be frustrated by his performance on Tuesday night. It is now down to the centre-forward to ensure that he gets back on the scoresheet in the next match and make amends for his mistake against the Dons.

De acordo com o regimento interno da Macaca, o novo presidente tem até o dia 10 de janeiro para escolher todos os cargos da Diretoria. No entanto, o mandatário ressaltou que não tem todos os nomes ainda.

As per the official website of the Ibrox faithful, the striker has now been recalled from Greuther Furth, where he was on loan.

Celtic midfielder Ismaila Soro is attracting interest from the MLS and could be allowed to leave, Sky Sports’ News Anthony Joseph reports. 

The lowdown

Soro joined Celtic from Israeli outift Bnei Yahuda ahead of the 2020/21 season and has gone on to make 41 appearances for the club.

His £8,100-per-week contract still has two and a half years left to run, contributing to a Transfermarkt valuation of £810,000.

Celtic have already sanctioned two January exits, with Ewan Henderson and Liam Shaw sealing loan moves to Hibernian and Motherwell respectively.

New York Red Bulls are ‘one of a number of MLS clubs’ eyeing Soro this month, Joseph says.

The player still has admirers in Israel but ‘it’s believed’ he would prefer a move to the United States.

‘The Hoops are willing to listen to offers’, both loan proposals and permanent bids.

‘It’s understood’ that no ‘official approach’ has arrived from the American outfit ‘at this stage’.

However, ‘they are aiming to sign their transfer targets’ before the 2022 MLS season gets underway in February, Joseph reports.

The verdict

Ange Postecoglou doesn’t seem to be the biggest fan of Soro. He’s only started him once in the Scottish Premiership, and hasn’t used him at all in the competition since September.

The Ivorian wasn’t even afforded starts in Celtic’s run to the Scottish League Cup final.

So, they may be willing to offload him, and equally he may be keen to leave given the circumstances.

In a way, it’s a shame. There were times last season when the youngster looked like a real gem. Indeed, in December 2020, ex-Hoops striker John Hartson dubbed him ‘outstanding’.

Aos 28 anos de idade, o defensor chegou ao clube em julho, após passar férias dadas pelo Valencia, e demorou cerca de um mês para ser relacionado pela primeira vez. Diante da falta de chances, admitiu sentir a readaptação ao futebol brasileiro – passou cinco anos em Portugal e outros dois na Espanha até ser emprestado.

Mas o jogador, que já se apresentou emocionado ao relatar que vestia a camisa do clube do coração, e que não tinha dinheiro na infância para comprá-la, sofreu com o time na luta para evitar o seu primeiro rebaixamento na história no Campeonato Brasileiro. E gostou do ambiente no grupo.

– Nossa equipe cresceu muito no segundo semestre. A união do grupo foi fundamental. Passamos por momentos difíceis, mas não desanimamos. Lutamos muito para dar a volta por cima e acreditamos que poderíamos tirar o São Paulo daquela situação. Foi o que aconteceu – comemorou.

Com contrato até o fim de 2018, Aderllan tem cláusula de compra fixada em 4 milhões de euros (R$ 15, 3 milhões). Com Dorival Júnior, atuou mais como lateral-direito do que na zaga, e se coloca à disposição para jogar como puder. Foi assim que aprendeu no convívio com um ídolo de infância que acaba de deixar o Tricolor: Diego Lugano.

– O Lugano é um dos grandes profissionais que conheci no futebol. Sem dúvida, um grande líder, um jogador completo, que merece todo respeito do mundo por tudo que fez no esporte. Agradeço muito por ter sido companheiro dele.

Perhaps the biggest gain from that victory was Jacob Oram showing that he had not lost his lethal hitting ability, something which has not been on view too often of late.The only redeeming features for Bangladesh were a robust opening stand between Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes, and young Shaiful Islam’s performance – four wickets, including giving away only four runs in a double-wicket over in the middle of Oram’s blitzkreig.
